Hello! So sorry for the lack of updates, Mod Atlass (me) has been neck-deep packing another zine project and keeps forgetting to make a graphic.... Our zines are in production! They said on November 30th that it should be about an 18-business-day turnaround, so we're expecting a shipping notification any day now... 👀👀👀👀👀👀

Q: I already sent in my writing portfolio, but it is all set as pdf files. I hope that is alright!

Oh, will we get feedback on what we can improve on from our applications?

A: PDFs are fine for now! In the future, copying the fics into a Google Doc would be the best route for most zine apps :)

As far as feedback - unfortunately, we do not have the time in our schedules to give out feedback to everyone who may request it. We apologize for the inconvenience!! It will be something we can consider for future projects.

Q: I asked this with cc but I guess it must of been one that got swallowed with the issues. How do we do a google file? Is a doc with links enough or do we need to completely copy each in full and seperate into a doc? This is mainly a writer based question since there’s only one link spot. Is this to keep judging anon or not too?

A: You can create a folder within your Google Drive and then share the link with the pieces you wish to show as samples inside that folder. Each sample should be its own Google Doc within that folder. Please do not link to ao3 or other websites for your samples.

This is mainly for organization. The application process is not anonymous.

Q: Is it okay to switch out samples after we’ve applied if we have writing samples that may be a better fit since the application period hasn’t ended, or have mods already read applicants’ samples?

A: If you have already applied and given samples - chances are, they have already been seen by the Mod team. (We’re super excited about this Zine and therefore are ahead in the judging process). However - if you wish to change one of your writing samples, you can DM our twitter account with your applicant name and the link to the new drive folder of samples.
