       peek .    look  left ,  then  right ,  then  left  again .    she  heard  someone  nearby ,  &  she  wasn’t  set  on  coming  out  just  yet ,  but  she  couldn’t  wait  any  longer !    she  wasn’t  even  sure  of  the  time ,  but  knows  it’s  been  at  least  a  couple  hours  since  she  arrived  in . . . where  ever  she  was .  

       regardless ,  she  was  hungry ,  &  she  ate  the  only  candy  she  had  in  her  pockets .    it  was  now  or  never .    carefully ,  delicately ,  does  she  lift  the  crate  lid  &  gently  set  it  to  the  side ,  then  comes  climbing  out .    nimble ,  like  a  shadow  does  she  emerge  &  take  a  look  around .    the  lights  were  hard  on  her  eyes  at  first ,  but  rubbing  them  seemed  to  help  her  adjust .    sneaking  out  further  into  what  she  would  think  is  some  sort  of  hospital ,  she  catches  the  sound  of  someone  making  their  way  closer  &  scatters  for  cover ,  ducking  into  another  hall .       / @ttaube

      wandering throughout this place ,   they came up short .     nothing was of immediate interest .     why did he insist on taking the job ?    maybe he had free time ,   or maybe mann co. had been watching him for a while .     maybe they could use an innovative man like him ,   who didn’t ?     they thought he was pretty great ,   any ways. 

      aimless dawdling came to a halt when they made it to the entrance of a med - bay .     it smelled clean  —  they were always a fan of sterile environments   ( * you grew up in such a place ,   of course you were ) .     hands fidget with the bottom of blue sleeveless shirt ,   making their way inside with a slight wonder for what kind of things must go on here .     this must be the type of place he’ll be working in .     color them impressed .      * @ttaube.
