🌟🌟🌟🌟 🔨 If you’re looking for laugh out loud, steamy romance with a sassy protagonist then @emmahartauthor has you covered. Kali like so many of Hart’s characters is sassy, and a strong female character. Brant was so endearing, and sexy. I loved reading about him interacting with his twins, Eleanor and Elijah, and how when he looks at Kali he usually has a twinkle in his eye. Not-so-useful little helpers, tantrums resulting in bright red paint being tossed around the room, a messy babysitting gig – I was laughing at all their antics while feeling sympathetically drained. I laughed so hard when Portia, Kali’s step-mum, told Kali the reason her dad had made the ‘No Cavorting with Clients’ rule. Such a dad move. But I really did love Kali and Brant’s relationship, how they didn’t just jump each others pants immediately, how the tension and their feelings had time to grow and develop. How, due to Kali’s own circumstances, she was able to offer comfort and reassurance to Brant about the twins not having their mum and about his own feelings. I just thought these two had such a sweet romance. I laughed so hard when he Dad-Voiced her and I got a little swoony when he went alpha male while they were having sex against the wall. Because I mean, who wouldn’t get swoony over an alpha male and a wall sex scene? ❤ I did feel like Kali wasn’t as sassy as some of Hart’s other characters but I think that’s okay.
