For those of you who aren't aware, this blog is on a semi-hiatus. The reason? While my free time has greatly opened up since the play finished, MY COMPUTER HAS RECENTLY DIED. It sucks, and makes paragraph roleplay considerably harder to do since it would all have to be done either via mobile or on a school computer. (And I really hate sitting in those drafty computer rooms that are always full of screaming people. Yeah, my college is weird.)

I still really want to roleplay with you guys, you have no idea, but unless people want to do shorter rps via asks or something, paragraph replies will have to be few and far between. I feel so so awful for doing this to you guys. If you wish, you can tell me now and we can cut our roleplay off with no hard feelings. Perhaps we can start up another one someday later when I have a fully functioning computer, but I understand if you're fed up with my terrible pauses between replies.

However, if you are willing to be patient with me, I swear I will make it worth your while. I will roleplay my heart out and draw pictures to accompany. (Something I was actually doing before my computer croaked. Now all those files are trapped and I won't be able to access them until I can get home for Summer Break.)

And the hiatus? It should only last for about a month longer, maybe a bit more. It'll be then when I can get a new hard drive for my computer. Or at least, that's the plan.

Thank you so much for being patient with me over these past few weeks. Again, I'm so so SO INCREDIBLY SORRY that this all happened so fast. I value all your time and effort and heart that you've put into this, and I hope to roleplay with you all again someday soon.

Routine

It was back to the fairgrounds again. After leaving England for a while, it was the only guaranteed job he had in the quickest time possible, and only because he knew a guy. 2D had made a habit of hanging back past his hours. His living situation back at the flat wasn't great. After all, a house littered with partially-eaten zombie chow didn't really make his home top-notch. Sure, he had dealt with something like that at Kong Studios, but that place was way bigger, and the zombies and dead bodies were more evenly spaced. He found an area on the side to light up a smoke and took a long drag. He was glad he brought his medication along on a regular basis. The place got loud pretty often, and today it was worse when a kid threw a temper tantrum over not being allowed on one of the bigger rides. And then threw up. It was fun cleaning up that mess. Just the thought of it bugged him all over again. He fingered the orange bottle in his pocket, ready to down a perc or two when he was done with his cig.

((So remember that thing last week when I said I was going to reply to everybody's roleplays when I finished my cubism essay? Well I was given ANOTHER essay for a different class the same day I hard to turn the cubism one in. So that's what I've been working on all this week. However, my second essay is now turned in! That means that I WILL REPLY TO ALL THREADS TONIGHT after play rehearsal! Some people I've left hanging a lot longer than others [so so sorry barracutie! Please forgive me!] but I plan to right that tonight. So just keep a lookout!))

It was barely 4:30 and the sun was already beginning to set. Betty squinted through the kitchen windows before turning to her boss, asking for a smoke break. It was right before the dinner rush, and some other cooks had gone out a little while ago, so there were enough workers to cover her station in case an influx of orders came early. Wiping her hands on her apron, she snatched her beaten leather jacket from the hook and headed out back. It was going to be a cool night according to the forecast, or that’s what she understood from the news. She had been in Paris for a couple months now, but she still wasn’t completely acclimated to using Celsius over Fahrenheit or kilometers over miles. At least the rising and setting sun was something universal. And boy did it look pretty tonight, even in the poor view of the city.

Taking a cigarette out of the carton and sticking it in her mouth, she headed out the door to light it. As the door to the back ally swung open, she could hear the sound of a guitar playing, as a voice sung along. Flicking on her lighter, she lit her smoke as she looked around to see who it was. She followed the sound, walking to the edge of the railing on the stairs that led to the kitchen, and looked over behind a dumpster to see a young man playing away on his instrument. She raised an eyebrow at his odd choice of practice location, but let him continue playing. It was interesting to see the man work from above, his fingers plucking away at the guitar strings. She smiled as he came to a stop. “Très bon.” Betty spoke fairly softly, hoping not to surprise him. She knew very little French, however she had heard the complement from her bosses more than enough to know what it meant.
