I have a bit of rambling that’s basically just insecurity lol, so I'll put that under the cut if anyone's interested. But here's the link to the chapter:

I… don’t know how I really feel about this one? On one hand, I don’t want this to sound like sterotypical DID cliches with scary muderous alters, because it’s not that. But this is a chapter that discusses the relationship with someone who’s family, but who you loathe with every fiber of your being, who’s hurt you so much that you just don’t think they would care if you were gone. And this is also Dude we’re talking about. The demon’s also in this part too, but I want to emphasise that he represents Dude’s anger and pain as a trauma holder. He wants revenge, but he also wants peace and safety. He just doesn’t know how to achieve that without violence.

Maybe I’m thinking too hard about it. Wanting characters to stick to their source when the story begs them to grow and change emotionally is difficult. Bleh.
