Aleksander was born in Chrzanów on the 12th of December, 1948, making him a Sagittarius. He was raised in Bydgoszcz by a foster family. He was quite smart, making it possible to finish high school, but he never got a higher education. Right after graduating he began work for the PKP, mainly in passenger service. Since childhood he was very close with his aunt, Helena Zembrzuska. Once she retired and moved to Wolsztyn, he began visiting her regularly with his friends, Tytus and Wiesław, who later relocated to Wolsztyn as well. Due to overlooked mental health issues he began acting up at work, disobeying orders, not showing up to work and failing to meet demand. In 1970 he was decomissioned and spent the next 5 years couchsurfing. He stayed at his parents', Helena's, his friend Ewa's and partook in odd jobs. In 1975 sir Topham Hatt became interested in hiring a big engine and put up an offer to hire Aleksander off the PKP. Reluctantly, he agreed. He didn't want to leave his home, family and friends, but took the offer, hoping to make some money to send home. He spent his first months on Sodor staying at a worker motel and later crashed at Edward and Gordon's until he had enough money to rent his own place. He's seen as an odd bloke. Nobody's outright mean, but it was clear he didn't fit in at first. The big engines let him tag along on their misadventures and he slowly found his place. He lives in a flat in Knapford. It's small and dingy, but it's his. He has a black and white cat named Krówka (in English, little cow), that he found by chance after work. He's decently close with Gordon, they coexist without fighting, so that counts as being almost good friends. And he lets the big engines fuss around with is appearance. He listens to every genre of music, but whenever homesick he puts on something that reminds him of it, like Maanam, Lady Pank or Kult. His style is a mishmash of everything, but it's pretty grungy and disheveled.
