I want to draw locomotives. The bad news is I have no idea how to draw locomotives.

Does anyone in the tags have references for how I can Get Good? I've always been Nervous about drawing vehicles, but now's as good a time as any to learn.

I made a train OC. He is a Union Pacific Big Boy locomotive and he's American and he is very cool and also a badass. His face is all scarred up but he won't let anyone else fix it. He smokes train cigarettes and doesn't give a sh*t if you tell on him. He says swear words and doesn't even censor them. He's that cool.

Question for people who have been into this series longer than me:

What happens when an engine stops being really useful? Not because they don't want to work, but because they can't work/are broken beyond repair?

If they can't do their jobs anymore, is there still a role in Sodor society for them? Or do they get put down like Boxer in Animal Farm?

I think it's funny that, out of all the Thomas and Friends characters (both the book ones and the ones from the show), I made the ones that have the most tragic fates (Stanley, Smudger, Godred, Bertram (to an extent)) my blorbos.

And then shipped two of them for maximum angst potential (Stanley x Smudger, Stanley x The Mine Engine).

Idk, it's just funny to me.
