"I didn't think he showboated. I think he mentally broke...I think that you saw what he had this season. But when you find out what a guy really has is when he's under pressure. When you're under pressure, you find out who the Anderson Silva's and the Georges St-Pierre's are, those type of guys."
Dana White talking about TUF17 runner up Uriah Hall from the post fight media scrum
Uriah Hall also admitted that hanging around Kelvin made it hard for him to train. Scott Jorgensen and Urijah Faber are both acquaintance and have trained together and they still went out there and beat on one another. I wonder if Hall realizes he is in the hurt game and not Tekken.
Throwing Hall completely under the bus is a bit of an over reaction right now on the internet. Hall fought arrogant and stupid. Clearly having a mental advantage ever since he entered into the house. This air of menace was also had when he was fighting in the regional scene. It seems doubtful that he'll have that immediately going forward in the UFC.
If the UFC was big on pushing Hall into a sink or swim kind of situation the loser of Lorenz Larking-Francis Carmount would be the fight to make. If Larkin loses he'd most likely stand with Hall and put on an entertaining scrap. Carmount has shown he doesn't mind taking down fighters. If not, give him somethign in the Magnus Cedenblad/Adrew Craig kind of territory.
For the actualy winner of the 17th season of The Ultimate Fighter, Kelvin Gastelum is probably due for a cut to 170lbs. Assuming this will happen Matt Brown would be a very interesting test. A whole lot fast but could be fun. If not something in the Pascal Krauss/Kenny Robertson area of the welterweight roster makes sense. The kid is only 21 years old.
