December 2 2016 - [⚠️: murder, stalking, intimate partner violence, gun violence] by Elizabeth Ridenour A #Muskogee man was charged Thursday in Muskogee County District Court with first-degree #murder. Darryl Maurice Thomas Jr., 30, is charged with killing his girlfriend, #FantasiaWilliams, 30. Thomas is being held without bond in the Muskogee County/City Detention Facility. Police were called at approximately 2 a.m. Tuesday about a possible shooting at 719 N. Fifth St. When police arrived, they found an open, unsecured door, and what they believed was a crime scene. With help from the community, police were able to make contact with Thomas on the phone, which led to his surrender at a #Tullahassee residence. Williams' body was found inside a car at that residence. Thomas "loaded the deceased into a vehicle and transported her to a secondary address," court documents state. "The suspect, the victim, and the possible murder weapon" were located at the Tullahassee residence. In addition to the weapon and Williams' body, police also found other items of evidence. Thomas, who also goes by the alias Daryl Grayson, is charged with possession of a firearm after former felony conviction and unlawful possession of controlled drug with intent to distribute. According to court documents, Thomas had a .380-caliber weapon in his possession when he was arrested. Because he was convicted of felony of robbery with a weapon in a 2008 case, Thomas was banned from owning a firearm. He also allegedly had marijuana in his possession when he was arrested. Court records show Thomas' ex-wife on Monday petitioned the court — and received — an emergency protective order against the suspected shooter. In her petition, Ruth Thomas states Darryl Thomas Jr. keeps "showing up at my house and wherever I go." Thomas' ex-wife alleges in her petition for a #protectiveorder that he showed up at some point with two guns and drugs and refused to leave when asked to do so. Thomas, according to the petition, pointed the "guns in his mouth and at his head" while his ex-wife's children were present. Thomas was served the protective order after he was jailed. #violenceagainstwomen (at Tullahassee, Oklahoma)
