The family was pretty normal til her father upon evolving grew twisted and power hungry she and her sister where VERY young at the time but because of her father's change her mother left. He his girls and other pawniard/bisharp became a group of thieves. Val and her sister never felt any love coming from her father, and since Valerie's the oldest she had more pressure on her to be a powerful leader like her dad.
