how do you think talon dick would be around bruce? and would ak jason ever say anything about him
Dick would be..hostile arounf Batman. He uses Jason as a substitute for the court to give him purpose. And the only time Jason would mention Batman would be when hes having a really bad day, or a flashback I‘d imagine. Just non-stop I hate batman⬇️
So, even if he kinda does like Batman, Jason doesnt. So he wont. Whenever the two encounter him, Talon does what he can to keep Jason from Bruce. whether that be standing guard or fighting him so Jason can get away. Jason hates it. It upsets him when Dick just blindly follows his word. He wants Dick to think for himself, live his own life.
This AU is about them healing their oddly similar traumas together, so when Jason starts being able to accept Bruce back into his life, Dick and Bruce start to form a reluctant relationship. Dick very defensive around him whenever Jason is near, but he does like the Batman.
At first, Bruce was against Jason having a Talon with him. Which was just another source of arguments and disdain. Eventually, Bruce realizes theres something different about Dick. And comes to accept him. Although very reluctantly. He was a murderer. But he shows remorse, so Bruce is happy to give him another chance.
The first time Bruce took off his cowl in front of Dick, he had a bad time. Dick was never taken in by Bruce. he was going to, but he hesitated. and then Dick was taken by the court. (Jason would be the first robin, dont ask how theres robin without Dick, thats a specific i havent worked out yet.) Theres probably a connection there between Dick going missing when Bruce hesitated, to Bruce adopting Jason.
Anyways, seeing Bruce‘s full face would bring Dick back to the before times that he tries to desperately to forget. The pain he felt then, how different he was. How much the court has changed and took from him. He remembers kind eyes filled with pity, he remembers red and green and yellow in a pool of blood. He remembers what it felt like to be human. He never had a chance to come to terms with the death of his parents. Too busy being tortured and turned into a weapon of the court.
Dick isnt able to face Bruce for a long time following. The only one with the bats that he can stomach for a while is Babs. He never interacted with her while he was human. So its easy, and she understands the trauma. And Jason likes her well enough.
Eventually, Tim figures out who he was. The little boy from the trapeze. Not to sure how‘d that go. Jason would be happy to finally have a name for Talon. Since he never gave him one. He tries to ignore the family name that doomed him.
This all leads into eventually like. The perfect circumstances for healing. But its very rocky and rough. It takes time. They’re not quite there yet

Thank you so much! He‘s trying to live his best life! The Horrors persist but so does he! It‘s what Talon and Arkham Knight is about, to me. Its about them healing together. Finding lives for themselves despite everything life has thrown at them :) theyre a little fucked up but thats par for the course.
My goal is to humanize Talon Dick. All too often hes dehumanized and made to be a sad woobified creature. Hes very complex. And hard to really depict. But i love my son. And i will keep trying to really capture him
