@tulsaartistfellowship I bought myself a massage chair for Christmas❤ I also purchased 10 DGX Gift Cards, $10 each to give out to the homeless. They pass by daily. I also pass them on my morning walks/jogs. I know it isn't a lot, but hopefully it was a bright spot in their day. As soon as I stepped out of my apartment, I saw a white truck slowly driving away from two men. For a moment, I thought the truck was dropping off their colleagues. There are always construction and city workers downtown. Turns out they were giving out gift bags to the homeless. I am assuming they didn't see me coming out of my apartment building, they called me to the truck. I asked what was it. They said "A gift. Merry Christmas" Based on the look in this man's eye, his heart really went out to me. I was slightly confused, but took the bag and said, "Merry Christmas". They drove off. I went back into my apartment building to peek inside the bag. It was toiletries, snacks, and a nice warm blanket. I decided to pass it along to someone else. I was grateful I didn't need it, because I do know what it is like to be in need. Thinking back to a few rough times in NYC. I also knew I could easily confuse someone who is out for a walk or jog as someone homeless. A few of the artist fellows have walk by and visually blended in with homeless. Because of this, I wasn't offended. Just grateful for the work they were doing. I'm thinking I will do something like this every year, assuming I will be able. MERRY CHRISTMAS ALL AND GOD BLESS❤ #kaluplinzy #merrychristmas #2020tulsaartistfellowship #2020tulsaartistfellow #tulsaartsdistrict #downtowntulsa (at Tulsa Artist Fellowship) https://www.instagram.com/p/CJOq3kYlqJ5/?igshid=4veo8cztoymf
