The Heart and The Head

FOR THE LOVE OF ALL THAT IS WHOLY, JUST STOP SCROLLING AND READ THIS! YOU WONT REGRET IT.

First of all I have a lot of feelings(just see my first post all of my posts tonight) and if you don’t ship bellarke feel free to scroll. I’m passionate about this and it’s gonna show BIG TIME. Btw I’m still trembling writing this(1 hour 48 mins later)

So.... I’d just like to point out... I FUCKING called it! (Mostly)

In my post that I high praised MYSELF for was saying that I KNEW that “The Heart and The Head” was gonna come back into play. I KNEW it was gonna make Bellamy realize his feelings for Clarke. There’s no denying it anymore! Octavia and Gabriel as our witness. Octavia may have lost the love of her life. But she didn’t watch Bellamy lose his. He gets his happy ending no matter how this plays out cause Clarke is alive.

He got his girl back. He couldn’t WOULD NOT let her die. He would not go back to living without her again. Its not an option. He would not have given up. Even if Clarke had actually died on that table. I doubt Bellamy Blake would have survived it. It’s Clarke AND Bellamy. Together. The Heart and The Head. One would not function without the other. It’s a saying for soulmates. There’s no more denying who Bellamy Blake loves. Who he puts above all others, even himself.

Clarke Griffin gave up when she thought Bellamy didn’t care. Once she heard Bellamy saying “I won’t let you die” she wouldn’t give Josephine back the controls. Clarke was on her knees with her fucking throat slit and still Bellamy’s words and him fighting FOR her, got her to fight back. She gave up because she was told Bellamy gave up. She refused to let this be the end when she can hear Bellamy yelling at her to GET UP. She couldn’t leave him feeling as broken as he sounded. There’s no denying who Clarke loves. Who’s put above all others, even herself.

I present Bellarke. CANON. ENDGAME. SOULMATES. There’s no platonic maybes/what ifs. They may not have said the words I love you. They might not say them this season. They might not be an official couple this season. BUT this scene. THIS scene. THIS season. THIS gave us canon bellarke. THIS is the moment I will think of them as canon. Not just a ship I ship because I want more. The writers gave us more. WAY more in the only way they know how: In true The 100 fashion.

This is not a theory of mine. It’s not how I interpret this scene. Its a Fact. It’s in the music. It’s in the acting. It’s written on Bobs face. It’s written in Eliza’s face. It’s written in Marie’s face. Her smirk. Her smile. All of their expressions. It’s in the dialogue. This entire scene was SPECIFICALLY written this way. If you can’t see that, then I’m sorry. You are not watching the 100. I don’t have another explanation. There is only one interpretation for this scene. It’s literally being shoved down our throats with how obvious it is. Its the same as when they showed us this planet has 2 suns. They didn’t need to say it. It’s written that way and shown on our screeens how it was written. It’s a fact in the 100 universe. Just like this is.

6x12 “Adjustment Protocol”

Okay guys too be honest, I wasn’t a big fan of this episode. It had its wonderful moments don’t get me wrong. But it was kinda slow, which I expected. It’s just a buildup, set everything in motion as we move into the finale. I can’t believe we’re there already.

Abby dying has been foreshadowed for a few episodes. And it the promo for 6x12 we recognized Abby’s profile in front of Russell with a stringer in her neck. And I don’t know if you’ve payed attention, but I knew that syringe was the “mind wipe.” There’s been only 2 main syringes in Sanctum. The “mind wipe” and the “paralyzer.” But we have seen that one a few times. Clarke and Bellamy both got paralyzed in previous episodes and in 6x11 Clarke used one on Madi. When Clarke was “dying,” the camera focused on Russell with the “mind wipe” syringe trying to talk to Clarke to get himself through what he was about to do. I still remembered that scene when I watched the promo for 6x12.

Don’t get me wrong, I love Abby but I said when Kane died that I didn’t think Abby would live happily ever after. I thought she might if Raven helped her through it, once she got off her high horse. And we got that too. But with Abby taking the night blood, plus learning that Clarke really is alive, plus mending with Jackson, plus mending with Raven, all of that was just confirming that she was gonna die. (And for those of you who think she’s not really dead-she was Emp’d. Alie said that only those with her code have the surgical mesh to cling to. Raven and Abby were Emp’d, frying Alie’s code.) Goodbye Abby Griffin, Welcome back Simone Lightbourne.

I know I might get some hate here but I absolutely LOVED the scene with Echo and Clarke in the tea house. Echo already had a feeling that Clarke was back before she even looked at her. I like Echos character and the scene in 6x11 with Ryker was kinda a let down cause she was just talking to him about doing better and wishing she could change but she killed him immediately after being freed. I can take that as Echo said it to save her own ass and learned nothing or I can take it as she knows who she is, she may not like it but it’s kept her alive, so why change? Like Murphy at any point in the show. Murphy’s changing, maybe Echo someday will too. Okay back on point, Clarke and Echo hugging was amazing. The last real memory Clarke has of Echos character was her almost killing Clarke in the church then their argument about a guy. From that to this is what I call growth! They are just thankful the other is alive and well, not holding grudges from the past and they’re not butting heads about a guy. 👏

My favorite part of this episode was the Murphy(Emori) & Clarke official reunion. The look and dialogue from Murphy was already a big change from who he used to be. Of who Clarke saw at the campfire in 6x01. Then Clarke saying she’s proud of him. Hksidjw-be still my heart! Cockroaches for the win!

The ultimate best thing about this episode was the costumes. A round of applause for that department, they killed it. There were so many costume changes this episode and Every. Single. One. was fantastic. Murphy and Emori looked like a freaking power couple. The guy liner was amazing. Richard looked hot with it. And Emori looked radiant. I saw a close up of the wrap for her hand and it was elegant. Turned her hand, who people called freaky and looked down on her for, into something to be presented. It said “look at it and be amazed.”

Clarke’s power outfit was a good mix of her and Josie’s style and it slayed. Bellamy in his “comfy cardigan” was a move that clearly said “dad.” Meaning leader, protector, reasonable. Bash on the cardigan all you want, I freaking love it. It represents who Bellamy is now compared to who he was on Earth. He doesn’t want violence anymore. He truly does want peace. He wants to do better, be better. Lastly, Paige, Good God, her outfit was fucking fierce. Paige picked out the dress herself. Which really works well with her skin tone. The lacey, rose cover was hand stitched to go with the outfit. I will take one, please! And the jewelry just tied everything together. She looked like a force to be reckon with. Nothing like how we saw Simone before. No, this was supposed to be different. It was going with the story of “Abby’s dead. Simone’s back” in visuals. It was supposed to show Clarke that it wasn’t her mom anymore. Most men think women are exaggerating when we say the perfect outfit “tells a story” or “says something.” We really aren’t. This is proof. Clothing says as much as whatever comes out of our mouths.

There were also, lingering looks and cracked voices between Bellamy and Clarke. But that’s my type of thing. I love everything about them, so I don’t need to go into it, cause my fellow shippers already see what I see, and feel how I feel. Nothing major happened between them so I don’t need to go into details. (I will though if you ask! I’m always up to talking about Bellarke(past seasons or present))

With the finale I probably will not live blog(I’ll be too invested to tear my eyes from the tv screen) and I can predict that I’ll post multiple long posts about everything. So get prepared and ready. 6 more days to go til the finale episode of season 6. Fuck.

Is it just me, or are the walls of memories different from before? When they posted all angles of the walls after/during 6x07, I examined the shit out of them. Madi in the shock collar moved walls. And that’s jasper holding the list from s4. Isn’t jasper in the vault of tough memories? Clarke was practically crying in that scene when the list was exposed. Will we have a Jasper scene? Cameo from Devon? aka the biggest bellarke shipper of us all. Clarke accepting her painful memories instead of locking them away?! Oh and do I spy Bellamy’s hachet? Of course Bellamy would be there to help her get through this. If I had to guess, I’d say we’d have another 3 people helping Clarke. Finn. Jasper. And Bellamy. The 3 people she feels she wronged the most and her 3 biggest regrets..? I mean she felt most affected by them.

Finn. She blames herself for him committing mass murder, he was doing it for her. Then she killed him in cold blood. Ya sure it was to save him from a worse fate which he thanked her for with his last words but cmon.. she closed herself off after that. She was haunted by Finn. She said love was weakness and then sent Bellamy into MW on basically a suicide mission!

Jasper. She went into MW with a plan. Got betrayed and then handled it the only way she could. Her hand was forced. She didn’t want to do it. She regretted what she did instantly. Afterwards, the first thing she saw was jasper holding Maya’s dead body. He blamed her and told her such when he saw her moments after level 5 was irradiated.Top that with what she was already feeling, she couldn’t stay. Became Wanheda and the result of MW drove jasper to suicide. She feels responsible for that!

Bellamy. This one is so obvious. The pit. She already told Bellamy it was her biggest regret. OVER EVERYTHING SHES EVER DONE. She wrote it on a sin lantern for crying out loud. Bellamy didn’t say he forgives her. He implied but never said so, so she has her doubts and then later just straight up doesn’t think he does. Especially after he tried to kill her under the red sun. Clarke’s mind made her realize this in the form of bloodreina. She kept fighting herself about his forgiveness until Josephine shared the altered scene of bell accepting the deal. So Clarke gave up. She stopped fighting.

These cameos in Clarke’s mind will be them forgiving her, so that she can keep fighting. Not giving up. Not hiding it so she doesn’t feel it. Accepting who she is and what she’s done. Whether she caused it directly or not. Josephine may seem like she like she accepts who she is but she doesn’t. It’s gonna be what makes her lose. Monty said do better. And to do better, be better. Accept who you are, good and bad.

Own it.

Learn from it.

My Man John Murphy..

Okay so I’ve been live blogging this episode with my immediate reactions but I forgot to mention Murphy.

First off.. Murphy speaking trig was FUCKING HOT. Just like Bellamy.

Second, I think Murphy knows that Clarke is back and pretending so he doesn’t blow her cover. I mean did you see the looks he was throwing her? He had that look about him that he normally gets when he’s thinking something but not saying.

I think Murphy is pretending to play both sides to everyone on the outside, but on the inside? He’s already chosen.

His time in sanctum has changed him. I mean he didn’t get affected by the red sun. Why?

Murphy is the worst version of himself, but after dying? I don’t think he wants to be anymore.

He thought Clarke was dead and did what he could to save the rest of them. Once he figured out that Clarke was still alive, he questioned himself. Protect himself or Clarke? He chose Clarke. He then offered himself for sacrifice when he thought they were only taking one. I mean Murphy doesn’t do that. Not with a way out. And at the stake, he screamed “bone marrow.” He didn’t think of that before that moment or else he would have suggested it to Josephine in the tea house or any other moment with her! Or even when they came in to take the sacrifice. The thought only came to him as a fight or flight response. Which worked btw.

For those who still think Murphy’s being a dick and choosing himself based on how he acted in 6x11, rewatch the season and focus on him. I don’t think he is anymore. This is Murphy’s story line this season. His development is his growth. To take the needs of others into consideration, not just himself or Emori.

They deserve all the love! Even Marie and Chuku! That last scene was the BEST thing I have ever seen on tv that’s made such an impact without saying much since “The Body” from Buffy The Vampire Slayer. I have so much to say that I can’t even put into words... still trying to get back to my body and I’m still trembling typing this.. I haven’t even changed the channel.. I think the news is on now? In. Out. In. Out. #Just Breathe Sarah
