More paintings from Dragon Con.
Working on a new piece for my trip down to Dragon Con this year. I got into the art-show and I’m coming up with a few new paintings to put up for the silent auction. I’m ALMOST done now but I’ve still got a bit of detail work to do. I’ll post the final product this week. :)
When I dance, I become a dragon.
When I'm not making art I'm dancing the night away at Devil's Point in Portland, Or. under the name Jubilee. It's been a great pleasure to be a part of that world and again, as I shift away from JUST doing fan art for my school blog you'll be seeing more of my original work as well as some other fun sketches and doodles. Here's one of my Jubilee Facebook profile. It's a promo for one of my shifts.
Here's a little deviation from the stuff I've been making for this blog but I liked it so much that I figured I'd share it. This is an illustration to celebrate the god Shiva in his "dance the magic dance" form of Nataraja#. It's also to promote my dancer profile, Jubilee Nation. Shiva dances to banish ignorance and to relieve the suffering of his followers and as a dancer I know I've experienced something similar to that. Going forward with this blog I'll be posting a good mix of both fanart and some of my own nerd-girl illustrations. Thanks for keeping up with everything I've been making here. See ya next week!
Come celebrate my birthday and enjoy/buy some of my art at my opening this Monday June 2nd at 9pm.
Some thesis development sketching. Figure developed from modeling pose. Took the physical aches, pains and moments of tension in the body and combined them with the imagery that came to mind as I sat in the pose undisturbed and free to roam my mind.
