It is! Well one can do rather a lot, actually. If you’re purely into academics you could probably publish and teach. There are a lot of jobs in AI development for researchers now, for getting things like Siri understand you better when you ask her “chrissake siri wazza goddamn time” when a neighbor’s dogs wakes you up at 3 am. Or you can help develop better machine translation software. Or you can translate. You can go work as a technical writer or an editor. Loads of stuff.

last night i got a text from an unknown number and it sounded like rune so i asked if it was her and the person said yes so i had a conversation with someone i thought was rune for about an hour until they started talking about their nagisa cosplay and i realized it was actually rian and he'd just mixed up rune with his name or something
