Early History

If someone were to ask the Inuit of today, “where did your culture come from?” we would have to say it came from both the Sivullirmiut and t

So at the end of the year I decided to do this massive project of what was supposed to be comics/picture book but ended up being a full 24 pages comics....It’s about creation myth from all around the world.

So here are some character designs, this one is for Sedna the inuit giant goddess of the sea. As she was banished for eating all the food on earth I imagine her to be quite chubby and of course absolutly massive (she hides the sun at some point)

PLEASE if you are familiar with the Inuit culture don’t hesitate to tell me if I’ve done something wrong regarding the tattoos or anything. I would love to learn more so that I can fix these mistakes next time :) !

Hiya, tumblr! Sorry I keep ignoring you. :c I was working on something to pitch to someone who worked at Sanrio, but then she changed jobs, lulz. At least now I can focus on polishing up stuff for CTN Expo this year. Anyway, here’s a watercolor pencil doodle of a character of mine, Yakone. She’s a big tough Tuniit gal!
