Currently workshopping in New York City for a possible Broadway run later this season, Holler If Ya Hear Me features the songs of Shakur — but it isn’t a bio-drama of the controversial performer who was gunned down in a drive-by shooting in Las Vegas in 1996. The original story by Todd Kriedler, a dramaturg who worked on the August Wilson plays Radio Golf and Gem of the Ocean, follows two childhood friends and their extended families in the inner city of a Midwestern industrial city.
