The Stowaways
That they meet only now and we get confirmation Phoenix was shit-talking Apollo to Maya lmfao
Turnabout Revolution
In the first case of Apollo Justice, when mocked by the prosecution about his hair-style, our boy Apollo thinks
Which implicitly states that his distinctive hair-spikes are a deliberate style choice by Apollo. Like, every morning he goes to his bathroom mirror and styles his hair like that because he thinks it makes him a Cool Lawyer. (In contrast to Phoenix, when he gets insulted about his hair, he tends to mention stuff like shaving it. Implying that it is just the way it grows naturally)
However, in “Spirit of Justice” we get to see a childhood photo of Apollo… with little hairspikes. Back when he was a tiny kid living in the mountains and totally off-the-grid cause his adoptive dad is a wanted man. Hair gel was probably not a high priority back then.
Hell, he had them as a LITERAL BABY
Plus, his half-sister Trucy also seems to have tiny hair-spikes under her hat. Implying they’re not only natural, but hereditary.
So that seems like a total contradiction, right? Well… I actually think these facts can work together pretty easily.
Because Trucy’s and Kid Apollo’s spikes are tiny. Kind of a far cry from Adult Apollo’s crest. Hell, when Datz Are'bal, who knew Apollo as a child, who literally saw that aforementioned kid photo every day, sees Apollo grown up for the first time - the first thing he does is point out how freakishly big his 'horns' have gotten!
So I think the most likely thing going on here is that Apollo does have hair spikes naturally…. But roughly the same size he also had as a child. He uses hair gel to ‘enhance’ them to the size we see nowadays.
(Anyways this is all buildup to my REAL theory that Phoenix does use hair products but EXCLUSIVELY for that one dangly spike on his forehead in the DD+ era. He needs gel to make sure it doesn’t go straight-back like his hair does naturally. It only appears after AJAA because Apollo is the one who taught him how to use hair products)
Minor spoilers for Turnabout Revolution? They're just screens of Phoenix and Edgeworth being gay like usual.
THESE TWO.
They are so married lmao.
Apollo saying this while directly next to an active channeling is so painfully funny i swear to god
PSA for Christmas Eve since it’s pretty much here
