Aziraphales Ranked By How Initially Willing They Are to Murder an Eleven-Year Old
Basically the only Aziraphale that tries to have an uncompromising moral position of 'Child Murder is Always Wrong'. He doesn't want Crowley to do it for him, he doesn't want the Witchfinder Army to it for them. He actually calls Shadwell after Crowley orders the 'Army' to go to Tadfield to tells them not to go to try and save the Kid Antichrist's life. He was apparently under the impression that if he contacts Heaven, there is a non-Child-Murder solution they can use to resolve the Armageddon Problem, even it will condemn him to being stuck Upstairs.
Although then again, he does end up being the one to suggest using that weird-ass 'Triple Displacement' rule to Retcon Adam out of exitance (with him and Crowley as necessary collateral damage). It's kinda presented as the more humane alternative to Shadwell just shooting Adam in the face, but also like… Jeez, Musical Aziraphale, are you only able to process the idea of killing this kid for the Greater Good if you're taking yourself (and Crowley) down with him? Maybe we do need a serious talk about that Martyr Complex of yours...
Obviously kinda morally horrified at the idea of killing that kid from the get-go, and is very uncomfortable with killing in general, but he very quickly concedes to the idea that killing the Antichrist is necessary to save the world, he just doesn't want to feel personally responsible for this death. That's basically the whole conflict with him and Crowley, they both think someone should kill this kid but neither wants to do it. When he did resolve to tell Heaven about it (after a lot of hesitation), he did seem to be fully aware that what he wants Heaven to do to 'stop Armageddon' is kill Adam Young.
And then of course, he is the one who actually managed to pull the trigger…
Although he does apparently initially thinks (hopes?) he and Crowley are tracking down the Antichrist in hopes they can still influence him not to end the world….
While the Musical and the Show both had some variation of a plot beat where Crowley is the first to suggest killing the Antichrist and Aziraphale initially objects, here when Aziraphale does decide to have the Antichrist killed, it is pretty much 100% of his own volition. And he doesn't even seem to have a lot of internal drama about that decision. Although when it comes down to it, after Aziraphale sees Shadwell can't bring himself to do it, that's when he hesitates.
Basically in the same category as Radio Aziraphale (or more accurately, Radio Aziraphale adapts that aspect of Book Aziraphale's storyline very closely to the source), but with maybe a few more hints of internal hesitation about the Concept of Child Murder…
But he still tops the list because he was absolutely considering the possibility since at least Wednesday....
