▲: One of our muses tries to catch snowflakes on their tongue.
“It’s snowing,” Pietro said excitedly, pointing up towards the sky. Thea laughed.
“What, you’ve never seen snow before?”
He had, of course; it had snowed often in Sokovia, but snow meant something different now. Back then, snow had meant danger, had meant that he and Wanda would have a hard time finding somewhere to sleep that was both warm and dry, meant that the possibility of freezing to death was far higher than either of them liked to admit. Now, snow meant something else. They had a home, a place to go, beds to sleep in.
Now, snow could mean letting loose and having fun.
Turning to Thea, Pietro grinned and threw his head back, sticking out his tongue. “What are you doing?” she laughed.
“Catching snowflakes. Bet I can catch more than you!” She took up the challenge pretty easily, and before long they were both running around with their tongues hanging out.
A few minutes later, their tongues were numb and their speech slurred, but neither could bring themselves to care. It was nothing a little hot cocoa wouldn’t fix.
JESSICA JONES IS ALWAYS ANGST 200% OF THE TIME OKAY
Who’s more likely to find who wearing their clothes?: Thea’s sweatshirts and socks mysteriously go missing on a regular basis. Jessica suddenly has a full sock drawer. Probably no correlation.
Who enunciates hand holding?: Thea tries and tries and tries, but Jessica gets jumpy every time, only squeezing her hand back for a few seconds when they’re in public. In private, it’s different. Jessica lets Thea’s hand linger on hers, sometimes even reaches for it herself, like when Thea tries to leave the bed in the morning.
Who likes having their hair washed by who?: Thea asks her to once, and Jessica wants to. But when she reaches for the shampoo, her hands shake and she bolts to the toilet. Thea ends up holding her hair back as Jessica vomits, and when she tries to talk about it, Jessica brushes it off as ‘bad sushi.’ Not PTSD flashbacks or anything.
Who likes to slow dance?: Theaaaaa, the sweet sweet child. She dances everywhere, all the time, all around the apartment ,and usually tries to get Jessica to join in. Jessica makes fun of her for caring so much about slow dancing, but she still sets aside the bottle every once in a while and dances with her. Badly.
Muse that’s more likely to fall asleep with their head in the others lap?: Thea, always, always falls asleep during their movie nights. Jessica doesn’t mind, because it’s not like she’s going to sleep anyway. Sometimes she forgets to watch the movie entirely, goes full Edward Cullen, and just watches Thea sleep, because goddamn, what is it like to be that at peace?
Muse that does all the cuddling in a blanket fort?: They both do. There’s lots of blankets and pillows piled around haphazardly, and Jessica and Thea are so wrapped up in each other that when the monster jumps out in the movie, Thea’s head knocks into Jessica’s chin. Her tongue is swollen for days.
Who hogs most of the covers at night?: It is a bitter, never ending fight.
Muse who nuzzles the others shoulder to get them to give them a head rub?: Thea. Jessica always does, but she takes the opportunity to mess up Thea’s hair every time. Thea gets as nervous as she does out in public, and Jessica likes being a rock for her, even if she’s shitty at it.
How do they share a desert? Two forks or one?: Two two two always two. here there be control issues. plus jessica doesnt share food well.
Who gets jealous more easily?: Actually I imagine it’s pretty even. Jessica gets jealous bc Thea is young, smart, and hot, and everyone who looks at her knows it. She’s just waiting for Thea to find someone better. Someone who fits into Thea’s world better. It’s particularly bad when Thea drags her to fancy parties and dinners with lots of other rich assholes. And Thea gets jealous if Jessica so much as talks to another woman, and sometimes gets pissy if Jessica stumbles in late from a bar, worried that shes slept with someone else. They both insecure i cry.
Who gets angered more easily?: Jessica Jones has the shortest fuse ever. She snaps at Thea and then instantly feels bad about it, so she’s always kissing her forehead to apologize.
How do they go to sleep at night?: Thea falls asleep easily, but she wakes up more than once to find Jessica staring at the ceiling. Thea doesn’t ask what she’s thinking about, what she’s remembering, just rolls over and curls into her side, and whispers fairytales in Jessica’s ear to distract her.
Who gets the most shoulder rubs?: Theaaaa. Jessica Jones has few talents in this life, but massage is one of them, and she loves reminding Thea of how strong her hands are.
What are there arguments/fights like? How often do they fight?: Their fights are childish and petulant, but laced with deep emotional wounds. They can so easily break each other, and when they fight, they don’t hold back. They’re out for blood when they’re mad, both of them seeing red and wanting the last word.
Who is more likely to throw things in fights?: Jessica, but only marginally. There’s a lot of holes in Jessica’s walls, and Thea is particularly fond of throwing her bottles of whiskey, so that Jessica can’t drink anymore and has to face her somewhat sober.
How do they make it up to each other/apologize after an argument?: The morning after is always tense. But they have a ritual. Whoever started the fight has to buy the other breakfast. Apologies between them are just as intense as their fights, and usually involve a lot of tears and whispers of Birch Street, Higgins Drive.
Do they have nicknames for each other?: Worrywart is Jessica’s favorite for Thea.
Caring for each other while ill, how does the other muse go about it?: Thea goes the whole nine yards when Jessica is sick. She either makes Jessica stay at her place, or goes out and buys a humidifier, a heating pad, a thermometer, and can after can of chicken soup for Jessica’s apartment. Jessica is not as good at this, and usually taken by surprise every time Thea gets sick. More than once, she’s knocked on Malcolm’s door asking for soup bc she wants to do something to help her feel better. She usually borrows a DVD from him, too, and indulges Thea in a rom-com movie marathon.
Who’s more likely to be patching the others wound?: Thea is constantly buying antiseptic and gauze, and she tuts every time Jessica comes home banged up again. Sometimes it starts another fight. A lot of times. But Thea always fixes Jessica up first before getting really mad.
Muse that says ‘I told you so’, after they come home from the beach and other muse is burnt to a crisp while whining how bad it hurts for not listening and putting on sunblock after the other muse repeatedly told them they’d get burnt?: Thea is not stupid and also loves beaches a lot more than Jessica. Jessica scoffs at her designer sunscreen, but later begs for the expensive aloe. Thea makes her admit that she was wrong and promise to wear sunscreen next time before smoothing it over her shoulders. Jessica always promises, but never actually does it.
Your muse’s reaction to finding the others crying about something? And how do they make them feel better?: Jessica immediately goes on the defensive and asks who hurt Thea, who made her cry, bc that motherfucker is going to get it. She comes up with increasingly ridiculous threats against the asshole until Thea can’t help but laugh. After that, Jessica orders from Thea’s favorite restaurant and puts on happy music to distract her. Thea grows quiet when she finds Jessica crying. She doesn’t say anything, bc she knows nothing will help, so she just sits beside her and wraps her arms around Jessica, holding her close. She whispers into her ear how beautiful Jessica is, until Jessica can’t take it anymore and just leans up to kiss her, if only to make her stop. Sometimes its moments like this that lead to a fight, too, because Thea will find her crying and beg her to talk about it, but Jessica just can’t, doesn’t want to make her worry anymore than she already does. But even fighting helps, bc anger is easier to feel than sorrow.
What would they be like as parents?: Probably just a little bit of disasters. They would both really love their kids, but neither one of them has a clue what to do. Thea worries about babyproofing the place until the kid is at least three, and gets annoyed when Jessica tries telling her that she’s going overboard.
What would they have been like as childhood sweethearts?: Good for each other, I think. They would’ve been best friends who were always fighting, but when push came to shove, they would be there for each other. They would’ve gone to different schools when high school rolled around, but they would’ve spent every weekend at each others house, taken each other as dates to each others dances (well, Thea would’ve taken Jessica, Jessica doesn’t care), until someone straight up asks if they’dating.
Who enunciates taking a bath together?: Thea buys bubble bath and candles and plays cheesy music. Jessica still can’t do it. They fight until Jessica breaks down and tells her how Kilgrave used to do the same thing, how every romantic gesture feels like a knife twisting in her gut, and Thea, overwhelmed, kisses her and whispers how sorry she is. It starts a new round of fighting, bc Jessica doesn’t want pity, but she doesn’t stop kissing Thea either.
Who likes who playing with their hair?: they both do. They play with each other’s hair constantly, trying to mess it up, running their hands through the other’s, just basically always touching each other
The place they mostly likely accidentally fall asleep together?: They’ve sometimes fought for so long that they literally fall asleep on opposite sides of the living room. But they also fall asleep accidentally at the movies, where they’re sitting in the back row giggling like teenagers one second, and the next completely passed out and leaning on each otht
