I bet you Kishiar would've put a ring on that finger already (and the royal family would've been more than welcoming) if marriage between Awakeners, regardless of their first gender, had been formalized already.
In fact, I still wonder if the Awakener laws that were mentioned in the chp.576-577 range have been processed through by the legal scholars. With more accomplishments stacked on the Arcane Legion's back, I'm assuming that officializing those laws wouldn't be as difficult as before. There would be some stigmatism against Alpha and Omega pairings even if these laws are passed, seeing as the general populous can't grasp the differences between the first and second gender quite yet. However, public opinion would be less harsh then, seeing at that point, the perception of Awakeners would be most likely even more positive then currently in the story.
I also remember Kuyu mentioning in the Q&A that Kishiar enjoys the lengthy and difficult process of officializing his relationship to the public, which would probably include the publicization of the Awakener laws, so that it would be normalized for him and Yuder to be together. Kishiyu currently serve as the forefront "poster children" of the dynamic between Alpha and Omega Awakeners. Even now, they don't make the particular effort to hide their relationship, but they aren't explicitly showing it either.
By purposely slipping out bits and pieces of information regarding their relationship, alongside the positive reinforcement coming from the Arcane Legion's reputation, the idea of laws regarding Awakeners being officialized doesn't seem far off. Maybe, give or take, less than 5 years? (I'm just being semi-realistic here, a law being passed takes way longer than 5 years. But this is a monarchy based in a fantasy world, perhaps it will take less than that. Who knows).
yuder ail transmigrated into a romance / horror game where he's a farmer in a small city near the capital kingdom and he can see the viewer's live comments on the side so he genuinely just asks them how to completely avoid the male lead aka Kishiar La Orr but the comments know damn well that'd never happen
Had a discussion w a few turning friends on how Kishiar's birthday is Feb 9th and Yuder killed Kishiar near midnight RIGHT before his 31st birthday. So happy Kishiar Death Day everyone! (Feb 8th)
can't believe kishiar la orr went "for my birthday i want to be killed by the one i love most" actually
So, I was thinking about Kishiar (again) and I found myself reflecting on his perfection in everything he sets out to do, wondering how he managed to be so good and make everything seem so easy. Then I realized that probably a lot of it was due to his innate talent, yes, but also a result of his urgency.
Kishiar is someone who, since childhood, lived with the certainty that he wouldn't live much longer and that any bad day could be his last, but from what we can see of his childhood, he was also a child full of life and dreams, with a thirst for knowledge and an apparently insatiable curiosity. With his life basically a countdown to death, where his body would deteriorate and become progressively more unstable over the years, his eagerness and desire to learn and discover everything he could while he had the freedom to do so became even more important, with the urgency of knowing that he didn't have the luxury of trying the same thing multiple times forcing him to be perfect on the first try.
All of Kishiar's genius, his apparent innate talent for everything, his absurd mastery of all existing powers, his vast knowledge, his unbelievable ability to do everything perfectly on the first try – all of this is the result of a desperate determination born from the urgency of knowing that his time was limited, from the certainty that if he wished to live as many experiences and have as many achievements as he could in his too short life, he needed to be the best he could be so as not to waste his precious time and energy.
And I believe that this urgency, even if lessened now that he knows his vessel is stable and that he won't die at any moment, still remains with Kishiar, hidden behind his smile and his relaxed posture that exudes confidence, because someone who spent his entire life racing against time to live, who knew that blessings didn't always last forever or were as welcome as people might imagine, now that he has received a freedom he never dared even dream of, would constantly yearn to fully enjoy everything he thought he could only taste in his condemned life.
my plan is to make limerence fics too? Possibly focusing on how tl1 interacts with tl2... yudrein is done, so I would want to try White Gloves or Kishiar from tl1. Tl1 Kishiar or white glove... well honestly he'd be jealous of Kishiar for protecting Yuder better then he did? Or in a sense that tl1 was jealous because tl2 Kishiar managed to protect someone.
smthg abt kishiar who, prereveal, is aware that yuder has some kind of secret but chooses to love and support him anyway, reassuring him of his trustworthiness and loveability regardless of any secrets he has, and then later finding out the true weight of the secret that intertwines uncomfortably deeply with himself and his core.
