Notes of Gratitude

I’m turning twenty three in ten days. The last year has been rather eventful. I graduated, traveled, and even took up a job. Most importantly, it’s been the longest time since I’d been physically away from my friends. Needless to say, the last year has been tough on me in terms of loneliness. 

But, I met some wonderful people here on Tumblr.  I really wanted to thank every single one of you for filling the void with your kindness and love. I will be spending the next 10 days writing notes to the people who have impacted me on this site and beyond. If you aren’t interested in reading these, I will tag the posts as ‘notes of gratitude’ so you may block them.

My child, my wonderful Aries baby. You are such a wonderful ball of energy. I’m so glad you sent in that ask and let me into your life. Sudi, you are a fantastic human being and I hope you realize that. You are very observant and you have such a bright future ahead of you.

Thank you for putting up with my constant nagging, thank you for your sense of humour in your tags and messages, thank you for thinking that I am wise enough to give you advice. Thank you, most importantly, for being my friend.

Miya, you are truly the sunshine of my life. You have such an open and warm heart and such a beautiful soul. You are so immensely talented that I'm in constant awe of you. I remember when you used to stay up nights with me to give me company while I wrote assignments, you always listened to me when I had troubles and always had the right thing to say.

I'm so grateful for our friendship and I can only hope that it grows over the years. Thank you Miya, you've been such a wonderful friend.

Aalzy, it's nice to see you following your dreams. I'm incredibly proud of you and I can only see you grow further into a beautiful, strong, wonderful human being. You have an abundance of talented and so much kindness within you, I have much to learn from you.

I really miss talking to you on a daily basis, but we're both so busy and in different time zones, so I understand.

Widad, I know we haven't had the opportunity to speak very much but I really appreciate having your posts on my feed. Firstly, you have the funniest blog description! Secondly, your tags are very very relatable. Thirdly, I still remember you sending me a post you thought would interest me and I really appreciate that (it means so much to me).
