When a girl turns 25

A little too late for writing about my thoughts.

Dear past self, thank you for being such a girl.

I know it was never easy to be me,

I know it was troublesome and tiring.

I had learned so many things from the past,

About the struggle and being independent.

No matter how good you are in your own version,

The world never fully accepted you.

Maturity doesn’t always come with age,

and having a childish side doesn’t mean you are immature.

My friend once told me,

“Better to be who you are than a liar just to make you look perfect.”

At the end, I found that lots of my friends still love the current me,

About my weird thoughts, my quirky behavior, and another side of me.

I know God always gives His blessings toward me,

I hope the current me will grow up to be a better person.

She will learn new things and fight against all her fears.

She will be a worthwhile person and loves her world more than she does.

She will find the right person to share her dream and never judge her for her imperfections.

She will build her own home with tons of books inside and have many children.

She will be happy for the rest of her life with the people she loves the most.
