Okay is it just me or does it get a little funny when someone presses on you so much asking you if you have a crush because I think it is lmao — my question actually was how do you answer people when they ask you “why you were talking to [whoever that other person was]? do you … like them?” even when you try to explain you don’t “do” crushes (without telling them you’re aro/ace because I’m not doing that yet lol)
Hmm this is indeed a very common predicament, and I remember having to go through it quite a few times myself before I came out! I can reassure you that as you get older, this becomes less and less of a problem because people realize you can talk to others without developing feelings hahah! For now, you can just say "Honestly I just think of them as a friend" or "It's fun hanging out but I can't see myself developing any feelings", and just have them think the person in question is just not your type. I know this doesn't work all the time but it'll get better over time! I have many guy friends now and no one bats an eye.
