Hey guys. I usually don’t do something like this, but...this is something that is close to me. So I want people to know that this fantastic program is out there, and that you can help out. <=)
Friends from my church, Carl and Julie, moved to Uganda, like... oh jeez I was like 8 years old, so like 13 years ago? And they started this program called Tutapona. It focuses solely on helping victims of war with their emotional trauma.
These are real people affected by a real war going on right now in South Sudan. Children are taken hostage and forced to kill their family so they have nothing to go back to. And are then forced to become soldiers for a rebel army that are hurting so many people. This program helps them deal with their guilt and their bitterness... and everything else.
Furthermore, you don’t have to be a Christian to help. You don’t even have to believe in God. But, donating to this program can help real people find hope again. And that’s what’s important.
Another note. Carl is heading into Iraq this month to introduce this program there. If you’ve a mind to, please pray for his safety =)
