Congratulations to Jenna Coleman for winning the TV Logie Award for Most Outstanding Actress, for playing Joanna Lindsay in The Cry!
Finally she got some long overdue recognition of her incredible and powerful performance in the Cry! That award is so well deserved, and I’m so happy for her. Unfortunately, Jenna wasn’t there to receive the award, so Ewen Leslie (who played Alistair, Joanna’s partner and fiancé in The Cry) gave a speech on her behalf instead. Glendyn Ivin, the director of The Cry, was also there, and shared a video, and these two pictures on his Instagram account:
Interestingly, Jenna has a much higher awards success rate outside the UK, as the only award she’s won for Victoria so far was awarded by Monaco (and she also missed that ceremony).
