OK, after a long month of posting US beers, finally European beers! A bbq today and even though white wine and gin & tonics were preferred by most family members and visiting friends, I did find one person to share 3 nice refreshing bitter relatively low alcohol Belgian beers with, our neighboring pensioned pastor who happens to enjoy fresh gerstenat. So, which 3 did we taste? Red My Lips from Brussels Beer Project (Brussels), Super Noah from Brouwerij ‘t Verzet (West-Vlaanderen), and Belgoo Bio Blond from Brouwerij Belgoo (Vlaams-Brabant). Then later in the evening, after all was cleaned, I pulled out Smeerolie, an Imperial Stout from Brouwerij De Moersleutel (Alkmaar, the Netherlands); a little too far on the sweet side for my preference, but still quite all right.
