annie had left town a long time ago. she had practically dropped all her connections with everybody when her aunt had taken her away for a new job. she had only stayed in contact with one person and that one person was now the sole reason for her coming back. it was a little weird for her, being back in the place she grew up but not knowing everything about it. she felt a little uneasy as she walked through the home where she had once spent so many nights, talking about anything and everything and passing out after too much sugar and watching films until the early hours of the morning. it hadn’t changed much, that she could tell, anyway. she was just getting used to everything again and then, there they were. it took her a couple of glances to actually realise it was them, because god, they’d gotten hot. sure, she’d been gone for a while and she knew that everyone else looked different, just as she did. but hand on her heart, she felt like she was a little dizzy that her childhood crush had gotten that hot. annie was single and she had been for as long as she had been alive. nobody knew that she had had a crush on them, not now and not when she was a child. there was no way she could tell her best friend that she was attracted to their sibling. besides, she was a mumbling fool when she was younger. she had certainly grown up and her confidence was through the roof. that was, until they actually looked at her and they had a conversation and she could just tell she would revert back to being that twelve year old who couldn’t get a word out easily because of her nerves. she swallowed thickly and smoothed her hands over her stomach, padding softly into the kitchen. they were the only two in the house as far as she knew and that made it a little easier. at least nobody else would see her crash and burn. “hey. i, um.. i don’t know if you remember me. it’s annie.” // @tvrnsouls
