So, today i made myself a reinterpretation of the classic cocktail Tequila Sunrise. 🍹
Because yes we might be in quarantine since at least a month and god know for how much time but hell if we are not goin to living it sippin good shit!
Never i told you that i am an excellent barwoman, well now you know, so right now I'll give you my personal recipe of Tequila Sunrise aka a twist of the original recipe from the Bartender International Association that better suits my taste.
5 cl of Tequila Blanco (take a good one, here i can only find 2 brands sadly merely ok)
10 cl of grapefruits fresh-squeezed juice
No need for the shaker, but if you have it use it, it mixes far better the molecules of alcool with the rest.
Fill the shaker or the glass (a classic tumbler can do) with ice, put in tequila and grapefruit juice. If you're using the shaker shake then filter it in a glass with new ice, if not just mix it well with a spoon. Add a twist of orange juice on top, no need to mix, what's a twist? It means you take a piece of orange and you squeeze it gently with the hand, that's a twist. Take the grenadine syrup and add it in the way that it will deposit on the bottom of the glass doing a kind of blend, fading into the color of the pomegranate juice, like the sunrise or sunset will.
That is purely for the looks, so before drinking, stir with the spoon.
(The original recipe has orange fresh-squeezed juice not the pomegranate juice, but i personally find it too sweet when mixed, hence i prefer the pomegranate one. You can try it tho. Like you can try also doing the same recipe i gave you but with dark ruhm instead of tequila, another good mix.)
