what in the sweet hell.... and the tumblr blog called the look lydia gave him over the psych paper "shade". i s2g
lbr they live in opposite land when it comes to Lydia. obviously impressed look after a good meta moment: SHADE! I don’t think they can read her well at all.
either someone @mtvteenwolf is trying to save face or they’re petty as hell and just don’t know how to handle themselves.

what...kind of logic........... .. . .. ????
it’s been TWO DAYS and that’s what they came up with?? I absolutely cannot.
Regaring you last anon I wnt to thank you for being so thorough in your reply because you've pointed things out I hadn't even consider. But with all that I think now I'd be even more disappointed if Sterek isn't endgame. There are so many fishy things going on and I personally find it a bit hard to trust the text when the PR has been so horrible. But thanks to you I don't give up completely. I guess all we have to do is wait to see how this ends. I really hope you're right.
Oh, I'm right with you love. Funnily enough I was chatting to the meta group about this last night. It's because I have such admiration (though not without my own con-crit) for the quality of the writing in TW that I would be so disappointed if it didn't follow through on its textual promises. It would undermine so much in the writing, character development and world-building, not to mention Davis' goal of developing a natural LGBT+ relationship without the great fanfare and stereotyping of the show's contemporaries. Many people have said this before me and I didn't always agree, but I do now: if either Derek or Stiles were female, would people be freaking out like this? Wouldn't signposts like the s4 and 3b finales be enough to convince us they were on the path? The problem is, people have been burned before and this makes the wanky PR so hard to ignore, and the show's very different to what we're used to. In S1&S2, I thought the show was just a daft but entertaining, Buffy-esque show about werewolves. Then S3a pissed me off so much I wrote the series off and turned my attention elsewhere. Then I caught glimpses of 3b and things started to fall into place for me - the series works much like a set of novels with an overarching mystery/plot, clues in the set, lighting and cinematography were paying off and the sources used were pretty extraordinary (and playing out in a surprisingly complex way) for a show sold to us as 'just a silly show about werewolves and blokes taking their tops off.
If it helps, I'm a cynical little shit. Furthermore, I don't need canon to enjoy a ship. I mean hell, have you checked out my Harry Potter tag? JK killed off my favourite character, but that didn't stop me re-Fredding Fred Weasley and writing a novel-length fic about him. Helga and Salazar will likely never, ever, in a month of Sundays, be canon, but they're still one of my favourite HP ships. Same goes for George and Luna. So yeah, no need for canon here. I'm even more cynical and jaded about slash ships becoming canon. So why am I positive towards Sterek? Because the show consistently supports the meta. We may get the details wrong, but we recognise the textual promises made and the narrative patterns (it's a bit like having most of the pieces of a puzzle, but because we're missing a few essential pieces the puzzle has multiple outcomes, even if we know the rough shape of it). And like I said, that's why I would be angry if it didn't follow through on this textual promise, it would undermine the show's integrity, its world-building, and the purposefully queer-coded writing. It's a terrible thing to bait without intention of following through, especially coming from Davis who no doubt knows exactly what a queer coded text looks like (3b's finale paralleling Incident at Owl Creek Bridge was a step too far for me - that wasn't a scene which we could excuse as setting a story arc up to potentially explore later on, that was a scene setting up an eventual pay-off).
PR is full of wank. I've worked in PR before and it's pretty cut-throat. PR isn't about fans, it's about getting more bums on seats and making money. The difference between the show and the PR is huge, it has it's own show vs tell going on. All I can suggest is ignore it as best you can (I know that's hard though), and if the show and the PR is still making you miserable, maybe stepping away from it is best. You can always go back to it once it's finished. Take care of yourself first and foremost, love. ^^ I mean shows like this, they're supposed to make you happy - it's supposed to be positive escapism and if it's not doing that for you, well then remember fandom is always here with open arms. That's what fandom does best in the end. =D
Man, I've gotta stop ranting for so long. Good news is I'm away for a week (staying in an old 17th c. cottage on the moors, whoop! ficspiration time), so you won't have to put up with my ridiculously long replies for a while. XD
I'm afraid I don't believe PR when they claim they wouldn't enact bans. When the Sterek Campaign's name was censored, Matty (PR or social media?) claimed that they used/said it and that there was banner that said "Sterek Campaign." However, when they aired the clip, there was no mention of the Sterek Campaign and no banner, they repeatedly said "Teen Wolf's Wolf Sanctuary." So either Matt lied or they intentionally cut out sound clips to censor it. Both options are disturbing in their own way :/
The odd thing is that’s the first time in a long time the official blog has replied to anything Sterek related. Why reply at all if it weren’t true? Why not stick their head in the sand like they have with so much else?
Urgh, don’t get me started on the whole Sterek Campaign award mess. That really was a joke and incredibly insensitive. And don’t forget they censored the word Sterek from the MTV article so people could complain about it in the comments.
This is what I mean, there is a lot of conflicting information and - most importantly - a lot of different groups at play here, all with their own agenda. It makes it very difficult to figure out what’s going on. I think we do have to keep that in mind however - that this isn’t one group, but several.
