We don't care about the color of their skin! We care about about islamism and radical islam. They've injected fear and resentment within people, and we care about that, and only that. I wasn’t gonna respond to the blatant harassment you’ve decided to partake on while hiding behind an anonymous message, but this has gone far enough.

I posted a one shot a couple of years back where the request asked for the character of Neteyam from Avatar to mistreat the reader and cheat on the reader, but he would essentially beg for forgiveness and get back together with the reader. Given that it’s fiction regarding a 7-foot tall fictional blue alien and whoever wants to read the story, I posted it here and on AO3.

On the latter platform, many readers had a problem with the fact that the MC went back to Neteyam because of his abusive tendencies at the beginning ff of the story, claiming I was romanticizing abuse and that I was causing harms to real victims of abuse. Now, I understand these kinds of stories are not for everyone and can be triggering, no matter whether it’s fiction or not. Given that, everyone has the control of what media they consume. The people who read the story went through the motions of reading the title, the tags, the description, and the request of said story before reading the long one shot and then deciding to leave comments of disapproval over something they chose to read.

I wrote fiction about people and things that are not real, and I make sure to warn readers of any triggers of harmful things that might appear on the work. I cannot control what readers consume. I’ve written about murders and I don’t condone it.

Now, taking the time to consistently message about me “romanticizing abuse” off of one story, and a request nonetheless, is honestly mind boggling. And the fact that you could say that I support pedophilia is not just horrible but downright vile. Of course I don’t know who you are and you most definitely don’t know who I am, so, there is no possible way you could speak on my beliefs and morals. I knew publishing under my real name was a risk, but this is just wrong.

The story has long been taken down because I’m honestly tired of the comments. But I’d like to take the time to remind you that fiction is not reality, and we all have the ability to choose what we consume—especially when it comes with big red flags and warning tags. Don’t put your hand in fire and yell at it for making that decision.
