A bit of a Lucrecia character study for my post AC AU. Letting Lucrecia being fittingly weird and have poor sense of boundaries. A bit more context under the cut (Hojo mention warning)
Corresponding head canons/ context:
Top left: Not sure why Lucrecia gets clothes while Seph didn't for being crystalized in the lifestream, but keeping it. As a former Shinra scientist, Lucrecia is plenty familiar with unethical human and monster experiments which involves being very familiar with anatomy. In her mind, nothing weird at all about patching up her naked adult son. Sephiroth is unconscious so unable to be bothered by this.
Top Middle: Hojo definitely only ever used a rectal thermometer on Sephiroth because he would care about minor differences in accuracy even after his son is fully grown up. As such, Sephiroth didn't know there were less invasive options and objected to having his temperature taken citing it being a little too intimate. He is much more willing to let them use an ear thermometer.... Lucrecia wouldn't mind the increased accuracy of a rectal thermometer though.
Top right: In this AU Seph's original wound from being cut in half by Cloud has been preserved while he was crystalized in the livestream. His Jenova half put in the work to fix the organ damage enough to be useable, but his original body is too human to fully heal especially since he is still in the state of coming off a week of no food, water or sleep. Lucrecia is checking for stomach or intestine perforations since they are known to have a specific smell.
Bottom left: A bit later once Lucrecia is getting more comfortable trying to act like a mom. Sephiroth had a panic attack after a nightmare (memories of Hojo using Ifalna's dissection as a threat) and was sick as a result. He initially swiped her away, but she sat with him until he calmed down. She got his permission to touch him, but he refused the offer of a hug on account of not wanting to ruin her clothes.
Bottom right: Lucrecia getting to live her dream of holding her son. She can have a little Jenova super strength as a treat. (A bit more of a joke).
