This is an original Print magazine ad from a 1953 Colliers magazine for TWA Airlines or Trans World Airlines. Title of ad is - Old Folks at Home, Fly the Finest Fly TWA. The ad is promoting travel around the world by TWA in one of their spacious reclining seats with delicious meals available. You could fly from most major cities in USA to most major cities in Europe and Asia. From San Francisco, Los Angeles, St Louis, Chicago, NYC, more to Madrid, London, Zurich, Athens, Cairo, Basra, Bombay & many others. This is one of the many old companies/products you see from this era advertised however that no longer exist. TWA flew their last flight on Dec. 1, 2001 then were bought by American Airlines. The ad shows elderly couple reading a travel guide enjoying a trip. These old ads are perfect for-collectors, historians, museums, home or business decor or as special gifts.This original print would look great framed. Lockheed L-1011 Trans World Airlines

Trans World Airlines (TWA) was a major American airline which operated from 1930 until 2001. It was formed as Transcontinental & Western Air to operate a route from New York City to Los Angeles. TWA was headquartered at one time in Kansas City, Missouri, and planned to make Kansas City International Airport its main domestic and international hub, but abandoned this plan in the 1970s. The airline later developed its largest hub at St. Louis Lambert International Airport. Its main transatlantic hub was the TWA Flight Center at John F. Kennedy International Airport in New York City, an architectural icon designed by Eero Saarinen, and completed in 1962. In 1972, TWA took delivery of its first Lockheed L-1011 TriStar. Later, the airline heralded the TriStar as one of the safest aircraft in the world at that time. TWA withdrew its last TriStar from service in 1997.
