Sunday lunch at #Fumo @sancarlorestaurants where they have a menu of about 6-8 dishes and you can choose any two for £16.95. • A and I had the set menu. I chose the paccheri with Italian sausage and Calabrian chili (open rolls of pasta filled with a bolognese stule sauce filled with spicy sausage) and the classic chicken milanese. • A had for the gnocchi with crispy cheese (soft gnocchi in Gorgonzola cream sauce served inside a Parmesan tuile, and the roasted sea bass fillet in a salt crust. He also had a glass of Montepulciano. • C decided to go “a la carte” and chose their special truffle pecorino ravioli - 5 plump soft ravioli filled with a pecorino mixture covered in a creamy sauce and topped with black truffle shavings. • We added another starter - the fried zucchini which were shoestring-potato-like crunchy strips of battered zucchini. Order this and thank me later. • Two desserts to share: a classic tiramisu with a shot of Grappa and vanilla and hazelnut gelato.
