college had an international men's day fair yesterday and one of the activities was about ordering fictional characters from bad to good examples of male role models. there was a debate about Shrek with my friends

First class of the new school year is in the books! I'm so glad the day started off with the class that I've already taught for three years. I do think that this was the most successful, least awkward intro to the class yet. I streamlined some things in my initial presentation, included some personal testimony so they could understand my mindset/approach to art, and provided more explanations for drawing/art 101 things.
