I broke my own heart trying to love you
regular jealousy
a regular routine for my day to day
searching for any hint of dismay
when i’ve found it it glares at me,
a harmless flower turned into a sea of garden weeds
flames burning through my reason and sense
what i had seen with red-tinted glasses,
is no longer there
the only thing left that once was green
ruined earth, as far as i see
i water the soil and plant new seeds,
i clear my eyes and rub them dry
when a smidge of green appears for me,
i am relieved beyond measure,
to see that the seeds still grow, and i can still
bloom
would you leave the boundaries of your mind for me? escape the mine field of your mind and enter my own because love is the key to survival in this fucked up world of ours and luckily our love is stronger than any existing force. i dropped a tear in the ocean and the day you find it is the day i will stop loving you because here i wait patiently for the person i write about to finally read the truth i spread and finally understand how truely engrossed i am with them. even though accidental glances are all we get im okay with that because accidental love is better than none at all.

September 28 is National Poetry Day!
National Poetry Day is an annual celebration in the United Kingdom and Ireland to honor the significance of reading and writing poetry in a modernized generation.
This event was found by W. Sieghart in 1994 wherein their goal was of course, to promote poetry and poets, and to orient people not only of the countless pleasure they can get from reading/writing poems but also of the possible styles and identity that they could acquire upon learning this passion.
In line with this, they organize live events, web-based or/and school activities, contests, and poetry night to ignite a fire to those hearts interested and passionate about writing.
September 28 is UK and Ireland's National Poetry Day but as long as you're someone with a poetry-loving heart who sees words and poetry as a gateway to a world of excellence and limitless possibilities, you are welcome and encouraged to celebrate this day in your own little way.
Write a poem related to this year's theme; Freedom.
Happy National Poetry Day!
I don't know how to remember you
I don't want to forgive you and that's why I won't see you and also I don't want to
the nights i spend with you turn into hazy euphoric memories expecting to wake up with a hangover i wake up feeling nothing short of immaculate because i dont need to be drunk to know i love you. your arms around me my heart beats fast in the veins underneath your fingertips every beat quickening with every soft stroke that you place upon my skin. 'be mine forever' i whisper to you when you're not even there leaving my love hanging in the air just waiting for you to inhale it the next time you are with me. your eyes shut so peaceful so calm and i could not be more in love with the sleep ridden face staring back at me.

amongst the chaos our eyes meet without a word we exchange a life long conversation through the path of our gaze subtle smile sly wink we know who we are we know what we mean no one else will ever know the feeling of pure euphoria that stems from a simple glance.
