You smell the gunpowder and you see the blood. You know what that means? It means you're alive. It means you won. You take the heads so that you don't ever forget.

TWD SEASON 5 FINALE
The Walking Dead Everyone keeps stating that The Walking Dead finale was anticlimactic andboring. In my opinion, the rather slow events that occurred at the beginning of the episode were necessary to set the stage for what were to be some very important character personality reveals, and character development. First, we see the stage set for Morgan – his face of shock when he saw Rick shoot Pete, we would have never understood it if we had not seen him forgive the lives of his enemies when fighting against the Wolves. He uses a gawd damn stick to fight off his enemies. He’s pretty much – like everyone’s already said – freaking Yoda. He is a Jedi peacemaker, a justice league fighter, a batman, who will not kill another human under his own hands. Second, we see the (sunavabitch) Father Gabriel who went to go kill himself, only realizing then that he is not only too pussy to disclose his sins, but also too pussy to kill himself. Yet, his actions later were needed in order to deliver not only himself but also Sasha – as we also see that Maggie has just a big of a heart as Glenn. Then we see the events unfolding with Glenn and Nicholas -- another redemption scene -- as Glenn forgives the life of the man who accused him of murder, and who also attempted to kill him, not once, not twice, but three to five times +. And we not only see him forgive his life, but Glenn also carries him on his shoulder back to civilization. The conversation between Eugene and Motherdick – another beautiful closure in which they both ask for forgiveness and also forgive each other, as they acknowledge that – in a sense – they both needed each other. Even though it was a lie, Eugene gave Motherdick purpose once again, and the ability to see the tremendous amount of strength that he thought he had loss. While at the same time, Eugene needed Motherdick to survive. This brought them to where they are now: a new safe haven: Alexandria. The scene between Aaron and Daryl was not really a scene of redemption or closure, but more of a confirmation and reminder of the goodwill of Rick’s people regardless of all they’ve been through. It is a scene where Daryl was willing – MORE THAN WILLING – to put his life on the line, to die for Aaron who he had just recently met! Aaron was so moved by this, and thank the flying spaghetti monster that Morgan got there just in time to help. And finally, the ending scene where Rick re-instates what he had said the day before, but in a calmer manner, and with actual hard proof in his hands (LITERALLY). He threw the zombie onto the floor in front of them, showing them that he is NOT crazy, that there IS some actual shit out there. As Motherdick perfectly described it “Simply put, there is a vast ocean of shit you people don’t know shit about”. The shock in their eyes as he man-handled that zombie was clear, something probably none of the people in that town would EVER do. (Even Nicholas who is one of their designated guys to go on the runs, not even he could dare to stab a zombie in the head. He backed away in fear as he went back to using his gun). And finally, the actual villain shows his face. Remember when Maggie stated that, yes, Rick did pull a gun out on everyone but he would have never shot at anyone? Pete, just came waltzing in, and actually used Michonne’s sword, without any care for anyone else who got in his way aiming to kill a man who was trying to stop him from beating his wife and kids. And we can see Deanne’s realization of the outside world, of what needs to be done, and of what Rick was talking about yesterday in his rage, and agrees to shoot down Pete. The season signified the dehumanization of the group and once again becoming humanized and part of civilization; unifying the two things together in harmony. “Yes, we need to be part of civilization but we also need to be rough. Look at us; we’re still amazing people on top of everything we went through”. The finale was basically their official acceptance into Alexandria, and the commencement of Alexandria’s new age – an age in which they were going to finally learn to survive, in which they would be saved mentally and physically, to prepare for the current world. When season 6 comes along, we’re going to see some really awesome stuff in Alexandria. Again, the whole point of this season and the whole point of this finale is that… yes, we’ve done horrible things, but we’re not horrible people (well, except Pete). We’re all deserving of forgiveness, and that we DESERVE to be in this town, and that we CAN be human again. We ARE good people. No big character died, this is true – but a lot of other major things happened emotionally. Good things, for a change. Why would this mean it’s a bad finale? We need to judge the finale for what it is, and for what it was trying to deliver, and it did a hell of a good job delivering it. Plus, we all know when all is good, shit is about to hit the fan, so be patient my young walker fans. Also, someone important DID die. The mayor’s husband, the one guy who actually really believed in Rick’s group even before they all had a chance to redeem theirselves. He was an amazing person, and he should be mourned. Deuces.
Kill him Glenn!!! Also why is Maggie not more worried that she hasn't seen her husband.
Y'all let Gig Guy ask a question...? Um why? I mean y'all didn't even answer his question.
