I know you ship Bethyl but what do you think about Daryl/Carol?

I like them together just as much as I like Bethyl, although in a less *shippy* way, and that is because as a pairing they lack that sparkle of conflict (conflict of personalities/ideals/values) which is what truly seals the deal in my shipping choices. This however doesn’t mean I don’t find them interesting, on the contrary, I absolutely love how their relationship evolved during the seasons, and the Caryl-centric episodes are among my favourites (I adored, for example, Cherokee Rose). They both have a past steeped into abuse, to which they reacted very differently, but that shaped their lives in a significant way and brought them to a similar place, emotionally. Daryl and Carol also have some of the best character evolution in the series, and I really like how their mutual bond influences their individual character growth and intertwines with it.
