Attending a tweetup is worth a little extra credit. (It's a one-time offer -- while I think it's great if you attend 20 tweetups, only one counts for extra credit.)

A tweetup is an event where people on Twitter (and Facebook and Tumblr and any other social media platform) get together to meet in person. There are usually nametags and beer (for those old enough for beer -- many also offer soda). It's an opportunity to match names with avatars, and have a conversation at more than 140 characters at a time.

Proof of attendance required -- either a Foursquare check-in, tweet (cc @LUsocialmedia) or track me down at the tweetup.
