How are you lovelies doing? Yesterday I felt like I had lived 2 weeks in the span of 4 days. Today I suddenly feel like the time has just whipped by. What do you mean tomorrow’s Saturday?
I started off this week feeling overwhelmed by all the noise (my sister’s in town for the week and I have two rambunctious niblings) but I’ve started to adjust. I’m not typically good with kids, but family is different, and I’m enjoying being an aunt more than I thought. I’m just eagerly waiting for the day they’re old enough for me to gift them some of my favourite books. (:
We had a big dinner today and my sister-in-law brought a Polaroid. There’s something charming about snapping an imperfect picture and being stuck with it -- nobody’s looking at the camera, the light’s not great, the 2-year-old didn’t have patience and hit the button too early so this is just a photo of dad’s leg -- they have character, a sense of humour. There’s a place for angles and filters and getting it “just right,” but I love the photos we took today.
