TWENTY-NINE | NOVIS

Novak had just finished up his shift, going home to take a nap and a shower before going back out. It had been a long week but finally it was over! The Dutchman threw on a pair of black skinny jeans, a pair of converse, and a button up tee. His plan for the day was to stop and get his oil changed, to go to lunch with his old roommate (who left to move in with his girlfriend and her daughter), and to go grocery shopping. 

First stop, oil change. Jet said he’d be able to fix up his car, doing anything it needed, but he didn’t want to rely on him for everything. Truth be told, somehow a wrong number text had turned out pretty great. He ended up with a no nonsense roommate who helped him navigate Chicago. It turned out to be the best friend a guy could ask for. As much as Jet probably didn’t want to admit it, Novak knew he loved him. He was like a brother to him. 

He had both ear pods in, standing outside the auto shop jamming out. He swayed with the music, singing along softly.

He paused the music when a girl walked out to tell him about his car, a big bright smile on his face. “Hello!” It seemed no matter how many years he lived here, he still had a prominent accent. He took his hair out of the bun in the back of his head, raking through some of his curls that were still damp.
