If you had to change one (or two) things about Renesmee, what would you pick and why?

(and how do you see Bella as a mom? What kind of parent would vampire Bella be? What about Edward? Does he seem like a dad to you?)

God only one or two?!

Honestl,y I would want them to go back and change her CGI. She's like a horror mix of a chucky doll and a pumpkin patch kid.

That's what I would want to change about her. But if you mean only character-wise, then I would want her to not be imprinted on. I think she's an alright character to be completely honest.

Bella as a mum... god, watching the scenes is so weird. I do think they captured how unique the bond is between Bella and Renesmee. How quick Bella had to get used to the idea of being a mother.

Her interactions are so ... not awkward, but ... just weird. There's a disconnect there for me. For example, if you compare Bella and her child to another female character who had a child in a short time frame like Wanda Maximoff:

I know you could say that it's acting, or the characters' personalities. I don't know. One seems so natural, while the other ... well... look:

And to answer your question, which, thank you for asking by the way - I think as a mother Vampire Bella would be very open-minded. She'd tell Edward to ease up if he was too traditional. I think Bella had to parent herself, I actually hate her mother. She was too absentminded and I think Bella had to pick up the slack. She grew up too quickly (I wish Smeyer would have delved deeper into that, which would have foreshadowed Renesmee's fate).

Edward would be a very protective father. But also a bit strict. And his traditional mindset would sometimes overcloud his judgement. It would also be hard because Renesmee is growing so quickly. I mean I don't understand how she's a fully functioning being? Like her mind is keeping up with her body, so how is she learning things? That's a big part of parenting: legit teaching another being how to act and make choices. But she's growing too quickly for her to learn???

Personal message

I had not expected to be my father’s care giver. However when he got sick and diagnosed with cancer. Without thinking I went into taking care of him. The the hospitals do most of the medical stuff. I still care for him in getting what he needs, checking in on him. Going above and beyond.

This job is not for everyone and it doesn’t make you any less caring or loving if you are incapable to. There’s a lot of up ups and downs. Sleepless nights. Giving up things you planned, just so you are able to be there in emergency situation. By far this has been a true test of strength for me. I suffer from anxiety, ptsd, depression, a recovering alcoholic and pancreatitis but I don’t let them interfere with what is needed. It’s a selfless act and I know in the long run. I am doing all I can. So yeah. Thought to share this.

My father was diagnosed in April 2020 with leukemia. He has been in an out of hospital for chemo treatments, blood infusion, and now doing a clinical trial. I live with him. However due to covid I stepped up in making sure to prevent him getting it. So that ment shopping for him. Even cooking for him at times. Been a rough journey. However my father is a fighter/warrior. Not the first time he has cancer. I just hope this is the last.
