So you mentioned before that each head can sometimes sense what the others are thinking through their neurons. How does Ni manage to block off his brothers’ attempts to try and figure out what he’s thinking and why does he hide his true thoughts?

Their thoughts and feelings by default take place in the central brain in their head. This brain allows them to have their own privacy that the other heads cannot eavesdrop in. The neurons are something they can use voluntarily to communicate with their brothers if they so choose. No active blocking needed.

The heads can choose which brother to communicate with through these neurons. That way, while they travel through space, they can talk to one sibling without disturbing the other. These neurons can be used to express thoughts or emotions exclusively.

That said, back in their early days, his siblings did attempt to infiltrate his barrier. They were young and still trying to figure out their abilities. Both Ichi and San tried during their experimental phase, but not only did they find it wasn’t possible, but Ni was able to sense their attempts. He had snapped at Ichi to back off and flat out attacked San. Nowadays, Ichi accepts that eavesdropping isn’t possible but still wouldn’t if it was just to respect his brother’s wishes. But San STILL occasionally gives it a shot only to get attacked again. He’s just too curious and nosy for his own good! He would totally be all up in his brothers’ grey matter if he was able to!

As for why Ni is so secretive in his thoughts; back in his early days, a lot of his thoughts centered around ways to beat his older brother and take over as alpha. Of course he wouldn’t want to share this with Ichi and 1,000 years of habit in keeping his thoughts to himself is hard to break. Not that he’s made any effort to try. He’s just not very talkative. Ni shares his thoughts on important matters, yes, but he’d rather keep it to a minimum. Otherwise, he’ll find himself in useless discussion, talking about things that don’t matter like feelings, his brothers will be prying into his business, and then San will never shut up and do you know how annoying that is? In Ni’s mind, nobody should ever encourage San to keep on talking! So yeah, way too much hassle. Just easier and better to keep it to himself.

Emotionally, Ni prefers to be closed off from the other two as well, especially when it comes to ‘soft’ emotions. He keeps himself detached from his siblings, even going so far as to refuse referring to them as “Brother”. He doesn’t like weakness and unfortunately, he views attachment and love and caring as weakness. Even towards his own brothers. If he shows attachment to them, then that opens the doors to that ‘weakness’ being exploited by the enemy.

Aggression and anger and the like is his strong point; his brain has such concentrated amounts that hiding it isn’t possible. Indeed, he often covers certain ‘weak’ emotions like fear and sadness with even more aggression because that’s all he knows to do with weakness by default. And unlike the other emotions, he has actual use for these hostile feelings. They often scare those around him, open up their emotional weaknesses for him to exploit.

Even harmless emotions, like happiness, is… stunted? Is that a good word to use? Like, he was over-the-moon ecstatic when he claimed the role of second-in-command, the best moment of his life at the time! But on the outside, he only allowed a brief smirk and a relaxed face. I mean, that’s better than his usual snarl, but still not exactly ‘expressive’ especially for that amount of sheer joy.

Thanks for asking about Ni, btw! I feel he’s probably the least developed of the three heads in my canon, which is weird because he’s my favorite of the three. But this has inspired me to write another Long Ghidorah Post about him, so keep an eye open for that, I guess. XD

Okay so hear me out: Again, it’s Gijinka, where Rodan gets kidnapped (kinda same as the previous fic, but now tied up and gagged to a chair) and Godzilla, Ghidorah and Mothra bust in and kill the kidnappers. But while Rodan expects them to free him... they decide to keep their friend in his current predicament and just fuck him while he’s still gagged and tied up? Ya feel me?

Average interaction with Siggy. And when he wants to hide away. (Is it to sneak attack? To nap? To purposefully give Rodimus a Spark Attack? The possibilities are endless!)

Yeah I think the rest of the doors in Roddy’s hab would be manual sliders, (the hard light barriers aren’t cheap after all). I could definitely see Siggy making himself a nuisance with them~

Is it okay if I request Blurr, Shockwave, and Rodimus having a drinking challenge with the high grade Energon? Last one still able to walk straight wins the right to dom tell the other two what’s on the menu for tonight?

I dunno that any of them would be walking straight, but Shockwave might have a fighting chance still being conscious, at least. Maybe Blurr is too, wherever he ran off to. Maybe he's dead. Who knows!
