I just had a really good supporting advising conversation with my mom and then she spins around on me "well, you know, you should ACTUALLY be working on becoming an RA" thank you, mother, for putting even more unnecessary stress on me than i needed right now. I was crying after my dentist appointment because i was worried about the cost, how dare you say I'm not conscious of the finances we have??? And then when i tell her that i will if i miraculously gain the self confidence and social skills by next semester it's no problem She just turns around and rolls her eyes "you're under estimating yourself" Well, i guess i don't know myself and how interact with people I've just met. Color guard captain was one thing, i knew all those girls for my whole life, how am i suppose to handle the same amount or more by myself confidently in a years tIME
