Halloween Dilemna
Twin Chronicles (History Lesson): Scene- discussing the Halloween costume choices. K: I can’t be a pirate. My skin doesn’t match. Me: (gasp) You can be whoever you want to be. Your skin color does not matter. K: I don’t see brown skinned pirates. Me: They are there somewhere...You always aim high. Remember who our President and First Lady was...who Sojourner Truth was, who Simone Biles is...(at this point another History lesson began).
Choices
Twin Chronicles: Me- You have tutoring today. J- I know Mommy. Ugh do we have to go to tutoring? Me- Yes you will go every Monday from now until the end of 5th grade and then in the summer and then you start again in 6th grade and then 7th so on. J- Wait so we have to do tutoring in college too?! Me- Well by then it will be a choice. But hopefully you take the choice and say yes to tutoring. J - Well I choose NO.
