Random Memory
Coldplay's The Scientist always reminds me of a particular time when tf and I's relationship was falling apart (we did NOT have a clean break). I wrote him a poem while listening to that song, and emailed it to him (we were already 'on a break' at this point), and he sent me a long email back. I really wish I still had it.
It was the perfect representation of twin flame fear. Of being overwhelmed. Of why runners run. I did not know this at the time. All it did was confuse me deeply. Especially because in the one part I remember about the email, he talked about wanting to marry me.
This quote isn't verbatim, but it'll get the point across: "I love you so much, I want to marry you one day. I dream about seeing you walk down the aisle in your white dress, smiling as your dad gives me your hand."
I wondered how it could be that he felt so deeply for me, and yet he didn't want to be with me. It was this question that would drive the grief and depression I would feel in the year that followed.
