Alice was trying to reach a book from the top shelf in the library. But of course instead of getting a stool like someone with common sense would, she tried to reach on her tippy toes. Hearing the comment, she sighed in defeat and gave up. She leaned her forehead into the shelf, arms dangling at her sides. 

“I am truly a pathetic sight, I know. Damn my small size.”

He shook his head to his friend’s concern and proceeded to speak calmly: “——I feel no pain, Arthur. The damage has been done yet I don’t feel much. Does this worry you?” His coppery gaze was drawn down to the arrow in his knee; the weapon itself had been lodged deep in the limp. Such a burden wedged in his knee caused difficulty for the android when it comes to walking in a straight line. 

“I do apologise if this causes you any worry; I never intended to be like this. I had hoped the stranger would be friendly yet... despite the friendly approach they shot me. Why is that?”
