I got the chance to test the Bodrum in the 179cm length for a few days in various conditions, narrow ribbons of artificial snow in eastern Austria, to a fresh powder day in Switzerland when the Alps finally got some snow. . When Revision describes the Bodrum as a “hard-charging, stable twin tip” on their website, they aren’t kidding around. This ski wants to move fast and chase the fall line. With full-length carbon stringers and additional carbon in the tip and tail for stability, this is a ski that’s meant to hold its line. No wobbly rocker tips here, just a touch of early rise in the front and stiff tails in the back. The Bodrums showed their caliber most on an early-January powder day on the Flumserberg in Switzerland, where they blasted through crud and chopped snow with ease, hungry for every opportunity to open up speed into untracked snow. . With the stiffest flex rating in the Revision lineup, the Bodrum sticks out as a purebreed charging ski among the company’s more progressive-flex models, and rounds out the range of this small company’s collection nicely.
