It’s definitely one of those days that no one will ever forget. I was a senior in high school and I walked into my first period Econ class to find the TV on and the first tower burning! Several months later after I graduated I took a trip to NYC and saw ground zero, which was about the saddest thing I’ve ever experienced. There were workers clearing SO much debris! It’s a site I’ll never forget. Fast forward 18 years and I’m showing my daughter the same spot, now beautified and memorialized, a heart wrenching and moving monument to the people who lost their lives that day. She’s still really young, but even she could feel the momentous tragedy that this was. I love how this city and this country have come together and turned this tragedy into something more than a tragedy. I’d love to hear your #911 stories.
