Well I’d post a story about a good experience with a cop but like, I’ve never had one??
Wait yes I have.
One time I was driving back from Delaware. I’d left DE at around 11 pm, so it was like 1 or 1:30 am, and I’m really tired and kind of all over the road. Eventually a cop pulls me over, she comes up to my window and is all, “License, registration, and proof of insurance,” and I hand them over.
“You know you went over the white line a few times?” she said.
“Oh, sorry,” I replied, “I’m a bit tired.”
“Where you coming from?” she asked, probably expecting it to be a bar.
“Delaware,” I said.
“Delaware? Like the state?”
“Yeah. I had a thing in Delaware and it ended late.”
She stared at me for a moment and asked, “How far away from your destination are you?”
“Oh, uh,” I checked my GPS, “Like, 5 minutes,” and I showed her the GPS, which says I have exactly 5 minutes until home.
She sighed and handed back my things, “Okay, you can go, just be careful, okay?”
“Yes Officer, thank you!” I said.
And that was the best interaction I’ve ever had with a cop.
